Find your sharp hours.

A calm focus timer. One tap to start, two taps when it ends. After a few sessions, Brevn shows when, and for how long, you focus best. From your own sessions, nobody else's.

The session loop

Most focus apps time you. Brevn also asks, briefly, how it went, and over a few weeks turns those answers into a picture of when your focus is at its best.

Start. One tap, from the app, a widget, Siri or the Action Button. Nothing to set up first.
Focus. The timer keeps going. A stray thought? Park it in a line and carry on; it waits for you at the end.
Two taps. How absorbed were you, and did you get done what you meant to? Both optional.
Your patterns. After a few sessions: the hours, lengths and breaks that rate highest for you, with how sure Brevn is.

What's inside

Sharp hours
Which time of day, session length and break rhythm rate highest in your own sessions (time of day free; the rest with Brevn Pro). When the data is thin or the gap is small, Brevn says so.
The Lab
Test a hunch properly. Brevn assigns each day a condition at random (music or silence, coffee first or not) and, after a few weeks, tells you whether a difference shows up and how sure it is. Part of Brevn Pro.
Park a thought
Write down the stray thought without stopping the timer, from the app, the Lock Screen or Siri. Go over them after the session.
Where you left off
One line at the end of a session. Brevn hands it back the next time you start on the same thing.
Start from anywhere
Home and Lock Screen widgets, Siri, Shortcuts, Control Center and the Action Button.
Sleep, caffeine, heart rate
Log a coffee with a tap. If you choose, Brevn also reads sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from Apple Health and sets them beside your sessions.

Calm by design

The same constraints apply to every feature, every screen, every notification.
